The Library is excited to offer Curbside Pickup!
Phase 2 Update:
As June 19th, York Region has entered Phase 2 of the province’s Reopening Plan. At this time, the Library will be continuing to offer Curbside service while we refine our procedures to ensure the health and safety of our staff and community. When the Library is ready to enter Phase 2, we will make an announcement on Social Media and through our website. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Community, Staff and Materials Safety
Government health and safety requirements are in place to protect you and Library staff. Your items are handled by no more than 2 staff members using PPE as required. All staff follow York Region Public Health’s best practices to ensure their safety and yours. Items returned to the Library will be quarantined for 72 hours before being reshelved.
While our branches remain closed, our Stay at Home Library is open 24/7 and we are excited to offer Curbside Pickup beginning June 9!
Curbside Pickup is a way for the Library to lend material to the public in a safe way during a public health emergency like the Covid-19 pandemic. Customers will be able to place holds on Library material and staff will contact you when your material is ready to pick up. You may pick up your material any time during our Curbside Pickup hours. Technology holds (hotspots, Chromebooks, cameras, computer equipment) will be available for 1 week. All other holds will be available for 2 weeks.
No. Curbside Pickup simply means you pick up your books at a table outside the Library.
Yes. All holds that were available prior to the closure will be available for you to pick up. Please wait until you receive a new notification before coming to the Library.
Curbside Pickup will be available at both branches Tuesdays and Saturdays from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm and Thursday evenings from 4:30 to 7:30 pm.

Yes! Library staff are happy to help you find something. You can send a request form for Library Staff to find a selection of items for you to pick up, you can call call our Holland Landing branch at 905-836-6492 and leave a message, or you send an email to [email protected]
A book cart will be outside during our Curbside Pickup hours for your to place your returns. All items returned will be checked in after a 72-hour isolation period.
Our bookdrops will remain closed.
Books that were borrowed prior to our closure will be due July 30 and circulating technology (hotspots, chromebooks, GoPro cameras, etc.) are due June 30. Loan periods for items borrowed after June 9 will remain the same as before the closure.
