Other Ways To Donate
Book Donations
East Gwillimbury Public Library will accept donations of well kept books for our book sales. Currently, due to space limitations the Library is only accepting titles within 5 years of their publishing date.
To donate, simply bring any well-maintained books to the front desk at either of our branches. If you are bringing a larger donation, please bring it to our Holland Landing Branch, and notify them in advance to ensure we are able to accept the donation.
Donate to a Specific Collection
When you donate, you have the option of selecting the type of item you would like your donation to support. This is a monetary donation for a library collection such as children’s books, teen books, loanable technology, or our other collections.
After a donation is made a name plate will be added to the material your donation was put towards. To make a donation to a specific collection please specify the collection you would like to donate to in the notes section of either our online form or in-person/mail-in donation form.
In Memoriam Donations
When a loved one passes away, donating to the library can be a unique way to honour them by supporting the community.
To make an honorary donation, be sure to include the information about who you’re honouring through our donation page or donation from.

The Friends of the Library hold several fundraising events during the year.
Friends of the Library
The Friends of the Library is a non-profit organization that supports library enhancements. To learn about becoming a member or making a donation, please visit the Friends of the Library page of our website.
The Library Quilts
You may donate to add your name or the name of a loved one to either of our branches’ quilts. The cost to register a “Book Spine” is $50. Please email [email protected] for more information.
