3. Use Chromebook and WiFi from your vehicle to create your printing job

Turn on Chromebook and connect to WiFi:

  • At the bottom right, click on the Wi-Fi symbol
  • Select the Wi-Fi network called “EGPL Wifi”
  • A Chrome browser window will open with EGPL’s Wi-Fi terms and conditions. Click the “I Agree” button in the centre.
  • Use the Chrome browser to access your email or the website where your document is, or create the document using Google Apps (Docs, Sheets, etc.) found on the bottom menu bar
  • Save the document as a .doc file if using Google Docs or a .pdf file if using other software or the Chrome browser.
  • In Google Docs, go to File – Download – PDF document (.pdf) or Microsoft Word (.doc)
  • If you are printing a form downloaded from Chrome, it is probably already a PDF file. Check for the .pdf at the end of the filename when you save the document to check.
  • To print a webpage from Chrome, click the 3 vertical dots icon in the top right corner of the browser window, then go to Print… and click the dropdown menu next to Destination, and select Save as PDF

4. Send .doc or .pdf file to the Branch’s printing email

Holland Landing: [email protected]

Mount Albert: [email protected]

  • Log into your email through the Chrome browser.
  • Attach the .doc or .pdf file(s) for printing.
  • Put your name in the subject line.

Pay and pick up at the Library doors; drop off Chromebook

  • Let staff know your name and they will give you your print job
  • Pay for print job (Debit, Visa, Mastercard and cash accepted. Cash only for amounts under $1)
  • Put Chromebook on the returns cart
